Today in the world there lives millions of people who call themselves Christians. The most part of this people thinks that, it is enough to born in christian family or country to be christian. Other part thinks that,to be a good christian person must go to church every week and made good things. But I am not sure that,those thought are right, because I see such kind of people almost every day, and they are really far from Christ.
The disciples were called Christians in first century, in Antioch, because they were acting like Jesus, they were preaching about Jesus all day long, that's why people called them Christians. To be Christian it means to be like Jesus,to live for Him and to know Him. We need to know Jesus,read Hi word and do what He saith. Bible saith in Roman 10:9 " If you believe that Jesus is a Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,you will be saved." It saith that we must declare our faith,in our heart there must be a fire of love,we must Love Him and Him commandments. Without faith we can not be Christian. But to have a faith,we need to read Bible every day,learn Bible an fallow God. Without a personal relationship with God,we can not have faith and peace in our heart. Unfortunately many Christian think that,it is not necessary to read Bible,especially Old testament,but wait a moment,how we can say things like that,when in first century disciples and other believers were reading a Tanax (Torah) and disciples letter? How we can know God,if we don't want to read about Him, Bible declares about God and about His character,it is impossible to be a Christian without Jesus,but if really want to have a relationship with Jesus,we must read his word and pray that He open out hearts eyes to see His will in our life. One pastor, Oleg Khubashvili saith:" You love God if you love Bible,but if you dont respect Bible it means that you don;t respect God,because God declares Himself in Bible to us."
